Signs your anxiety lives in your body
If several of these sound familiar, talking alone may not be enough. Your body needs a way to come down too.
- A tight chest or a feeling you can't take a full breath
- Shallow, fast breathing, high in the chest
- A knot in your stomach before ordinary things
- Clenched jaw, raised shoulders, tension you notice only at night
- Waking up in the early hours with your heart racing
- Feeling exhausted and wired at the same time
These are signs of a nervous system stuck in alert mode. Breathwork works there first: by changing how you breathe, you change the signal your body receives.

Breathwork and sleep
Anxiety and sleep feed each other: a night of broken sleep makes the next day more anxious, and an anxious day makes the next night harder. Breaking that loop often starts in the evening, with your breath.
In a session, you learn to slow your breathing and lengthen your exhale until your body lets go. Then you take that practice to bed with you: a few minutes, lying down, lights off. No app, no screen.
How a session works
- A free 30-minute call. How your anxiety shows up, in your head and in your body.
- A 90-minute session by video. We talk, then you breathe lying down with headphones while I guide you, then you come back gently.
- Practices for the evening. Short breathing routines for winding down and for nights when you wake up.
Because it's online, the session ends at home. No drive on the M1 or bus ride after letting a lot go.

Your body is carrying a lot.
When anxiety lives in your chest, your stomach and your nights, thinking your way out of it rarely works. Breathwork works directly on the nervous system, which is exactly where you feel stuck. Let's talk about it in a free 30-minute call.

Brisbane questions
Can breathwork help me sleep?
It can help many people fall asleep more easily, because it teaches your body to leave alert mode. It isn't a sleep treatment: if insomnia lasts, talk to your GP. You'll leave each session with a short practice to use in bed.
Is breathwork the same as meditation?
No. Meditation mostly works through attention. Breathwork actively changes your breathing pattern, guided step by step, which makes it easier for people whose minds won't settle when they sit still.
Which time zone are sessions in?
Brisbane time. Queensland doesn't use daylight saving and the booking calendar shows slots in your own time zone, so there's nothing to convert.
How much does it cost?
A first 90-minute session is $150 AUD. Packs bring it to $130 a session (3 for $390, 5 for $650), and the 12-session Transformation program is $1,500. The discovery call is free.
Are there people who shouldn't do breathwork?
Yes. It isn't recommended during pregnancy or with epilepsy, cardiovascular conditions, glaucoma or severe psychiatric conditions. It also doesn't replace a psychologist: your GP can prepare a Mental Health Treatment Plan for Medicare-subsidised sessions.
If things feel too much
Breathwork is not a crisis service. If you are in distress, call Lifeline on 13 11 14 (free, 24/7). In an emergency, call 000. In Queensland, 1300 MH CALL (1300 642 255) is the first point of contact for public mental health services.
