Breathwork in Melbourne: calm your anxiety without crossing town
In Melbourne, the hardest part often isn't finding help, it's getting there: the traffic, the waitlists, the tiredness. I work only online, with you at home, using an approach built around anxiety.

Put together, these numbers describe something very Melbourne: long days, a drive or a tram ride on either side of every appointment, and months on a waitlist before being seen.
Waiting for care in Melbourne? What you can do now
You don't have to sit with your anxiety until the first appointment. A few steps can be taken this week.
- See your GP about a Mental Health Treatment Plan. It gives access to Medicare-subsidised sessions with a psychologist.
- Look up Victoria's Mental Health and Wellbeing Locals. They offer free support for adults. If none is open near you yet, Partners in Wellbeing takes calls on 1300 375 330, weekdays from 9am to 5pm.
- Call Medicare Mental Health on 1800 595 212 to be pointed to services in your area.
- Learn one breathing tool you can use every day. The one-minute exercise is a good start.
- Add guided breathwork alongside. It works on the body, where talking alone often struggles to reach.
Why online when you live in Melbourne
Because after a session that brings emotions up, staying home beats getting back on the Monash or a crowded tram.
A breathwork session can release a lot: tears, trembling, deep tiredness. Online, you're lying down at home, the session starts on time, and once it's over you stay in your own calm space instead of pulling yourself together in traffic. You pick an evening slot that suits you, without adding an hour of travel to your day.

When anxiety lives in your chest, your stomach and your nights, thinking your way out of it rarely works. Breathwork works directly on the nervous system, which is exactly where you feel stuck. Let's talk about it in a free 30-minute call.

Breathwork in Melbourne: your questions
Where can I do breathwork in Melbourne if I struggle with anxiety?
At home. For long-standing anxiety, what matters most is a one-on-one, regular practice in a place where you feel safe. Online, you keep that setting without adding a trip across Melbourne to your day. The first 30-minute call is free, so you can see whether the approach suits you.
I'm on a psychologist's waitlist. Can I start breathwork now?
Yes, as long as none of the contraindications apply to you. Breathwork doesn't replace the care you're waiting for, but it can give you practical tools to calm your nervous system in the meantime. Tell your GP or psychologist you're doing it.
How much does an online breathwork session cost?
A first 90-minute session is $150 AUD. Packs bring the price down: $390 for 3 sessions ($130 each), $650 for 5 ($130 each), and $1,500 for the 12-session Transformation program with support between sessions. The 30-minute discovery call is free. See pricing.
Is online breathwork as effective as in person?
For anxiety work, yes in the vast majority of cases: the session relies on your breath and on the voice guiding you, not on physical contact. You lie down at home with headphones on, and you don't have to drive or catch a tram home after a session that brought emotions up.
Does breathwork have side effects?
During a session it is common to feel tingling in the hands or around the mouth, light-headedness, emotions coming up, then deep tiredness that evening. It passes, which is why the session is guided from start to finish. Breathwork is not recommended if you have cardiovascular conditions, epilepsy, glaucoma, severe psychiatric conditions, or if you are pregnant.
If you're not okay right now
Breathwork is not a crisis service. If you are in distress or having thoughts of suicide, call Lifeline on 13 11 14 (free, 24/7). In an emergency, call 000. In Victoria, SuicideLine Victoria is available 24/7 on 1300 651 251. For ongoing psychological care, start with your GP.
